Jim Holl

Equipment Applications Manager

Jim graduated in 1985 with a BA in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota - Duluth. Prior to joining Store Design Services in 2004 as Manager of Equipment Applications Jim was the Director of Purchasing for Buffets Inc. and more recently the owner of his own equipment distributorship and consulting business.

Jim recently completed the Mini Masters of Retailing Excellence program at the University of St. Thomas, a five month series of concentrated courses focusing on retail strategy and logistics. When away from work Jim spends his leisure time motorcycling, fishing, and wood working. Jim also enjoys residential remodeling because, he says, "I enjoy seeing my ideas develop from the drawing board into reality."

Jim's favorite stores are Gander Mountain and Cabela's. "They do a wonderful job of creating a pleasant experience for the customer," he says. "Their use of theme and decor is well executed."
