Gregg Okerman

Equipment Applications Manager

Gregg joined Store Design Services in 1997 when he took over as manager of equipment applications. Prior to this he worked for Byerly's Inc., serving as the manager of store engineering for 5 years. Gregg earned his associate of science degree in architectural design from Northwest University before joining SUPERVALU in 1986, beginning as a drafter and quickly working his way up to senior store engineer.

Because of his extensive experience in the grocery industry, which actually began in early 1985 when he worked as a bagger/stocker for a local Lund's store, it isn't surprising that Gregg says grocery retail stores are his favorite architectural spaces to work with. "Grocery stores are always changing, always in flux," Gregg says, "Because consumer preferences change so fast, grocery retailers are forced to constantly adapt their stores to new trends. It's been really interesting to witness the changes in design trends in this industry over the last 20 years."

Gregg brings a tremendous amount of industry experience to each project he undertakes. Coupled with a lighthearted workplace persona that makes him a pleasure to work with, Gregg is a clear asset to Store Design Services equipment services team.
